Moving To Costa Rica

Having thrived as a working expat for almost 10 years in Panama and Costa Rica, I’m no stranger to international living. In fact, the inspiration for this Costa Rica lifestyle blog comes from my two bestselling book series about moving to Panama titled, The Gringo Guide to Panama: What to Know Before You Go and The Gringo Guide to Panama II: More to Know Before You Go.

Expat living is not for the faint of heart, and sometimes it’s not even for the adventurous!

My perspective on my move to Costa Rica (and on many things I write about) is not always the most popular one, because I don’t sugar coat things. But at the same time, nor do I make it a point to slam anyone. I simply share things as I see them, from the viewpoint of an open-minded, middle-aged North American adventurer.

Are you interested in what moving to Costa Rica might really look like for you? Are you considering retiring to Costa Rica to make your money go further? Would you like a taste of what it’s like to explore the less traveled life in Costa Rica?

Then, perhaps, you’ve found your place.

I’ll be blogging about all of the above, and much, much more – whatever inspires, excites, bemuses, and confuses in day-to-day life in this tropical paradise….any of which can happen on any day of the week when you are an expat living abroad. Especially in Central America. ☺

By the way, if you have an interest in a specific question or topic, send me a note here. Also, make note – if you’re in the market for Costa Rica Real Estate, my husband and I recently opened a new boutique real estate firm in Costa Ballena (Costa Rica’s best kept secret), South Pacific Costa Rica Real Estate.

Welcome, and thanks for stopping by.

I look forward to connecting with you soon.
